Caprese al limone (2 Kg - 15 people)
The Capri Cake is a typical Neapolitan sweet, native of the capri island, revisited to the lemons of the coast, probably born of a mistake. The story tells us that the Carmine flower cook, around 1920, created this delight by chance, forgetting to add one of the key ingredients for the success of the sweet: the flour. A lucky swarm that gave birth to one of the most appreciated cakes in Italy, thanks to its consistency ... The caprese cake is rather low, crisp outside but moist and soft inside, so that it is almost defined as a sweet to the spoon. Being without flour, so gluten-free, his goodness knows no bounds!
